The Four Way Test:
Of the things we think, say or do
1. Is it the truth
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
In October of 2007, I joined Kiwanis. My wife Kim had been a member for quite a few years and we traveled together to Kiwanis events. Interclub meetings were held regularly and we visited the other clubs frequently. It was just natural that I should join.
I have been on the Board of Directors most of the years I’ve been with the Augusta Kiwanis Club. I became Club Secretary for a 3 years and then I served as Lieutenant Governor in 2015-2016. For many years I’ve attended all District Conventions and Conferences. They have given me the knowledge to serve in leadership positions. I am pleased to be serving as President of our club this year.
I have lived in Kennebec County all of my life. I grew up in Winslow on the banks of the Kennebec River. For 20 years I was employed as manager at Mathieu’s Auto Body Shop in Waterville. Later on, I worked as an Auto and Homeowner adjuster for Allstate Insurance. This gave me the opportunity to travel and help people during their time of need. I am now retired.
I enjoy working with my hands including woodworking, building, gardening and landscaping. My daughter Renee and my 2 grandsons live nearby and my daughter Stacy lives in Vermont. My wife Kimberley and I have been married for 17 years.
