Our very own Jed Davis presented his report and inspiring photographs from his recent trip to southern South America, specifically the region of southern Chile and Argentina known as Patagonia. Their visit included the town of Ushuaia and the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. They were there during the last part of January during the southern hemisphere’s summer and they had great weather.
Debbie Violette reported that the Donations Committee distributed grants to Viles Arboretum, Bread of Life Ministries, Children’s discovery museum, Pine Tree Council of Boy Scouts, KVYMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Project Graduation, Camp Sunshine, The Childrens Center, Old Fort Western, and Addies Attic.
Members donated a car-full of clothing to Addie’s Attic to conclude a successful project managed by the Human and Spiritual Values committee.
The Playground committee is seeking ideas and volunteers for a proposed sensory station in the Augusta area. See Kim Michaud or Bob West with your suggestions.
Betsy Pohl noted that it was International Bagpipe Day; Bob West (from the Head table) won the Senator brunch certificate and Jennifer Coffin won the 50/50 drawing.
